Hey guys... just a heads up, but our show on Friday, March 28 at Oliver's in Peoria is cancelled. There were some management changes at Oliver's and Kristi, who has been ever faithful to the MDB in booking us over there, is no longer with the company.

We are sad to see her go, and even sadder that our show date got passed off to another band in the shuffle. I know we had a lot of faithful Peoria fans that were coming out and we apologize for this. However, we are still on for April 25th at Oliver's, so we hope that you all come out as we wind down our spring season.

Also, for those who are really jonesing for some of the love, I'm still playing Saturday night in Dubuque at Loras College with my good friend from Boston, Tim Blane. So pass the word along and come show us some love!

peace and love,
mike

Well, we played at Elbo Room in downtown Chicago last night. Phenomenal, concise show to say the least. I think the entire band had a blast and Eclectic Theory and Frozen Moses both put on rockin sets fo sho.

I have a love-hate relationship with Chicago. Most people know this. The city, to me, is a downtown core of awesome surrounded by a 3-mile ring of pure doody. I’m not an industrial type person. I love the commercialism of New York City over the smog and carbon monoxide lined skies of Chicago. That being said, I do love downtown and playing there, especially at Elbo Room, which is one of the best venues in the city, was one more goal checked off the list.

I got to hang with my good friend, Chrissy, again and that’s always a plus. Her roommate and his friends are decent, awesome, fun people who put up with me for a night. And, I finally got to have my first beer in the city (312 Wheat Ale, in case you were wondering).

But, just when I think the city is starting to turn toward the light side, that opinion gets knocked down again. However, it was partially my fault for not obeying her many rules. I woke up this morning, got all showered and refreshed, sent Chrissy off to college, said my goodbyes, walked up the road, and found my car missing. No worries... it’s just towed, not stolen like I figured.

So, I’m currently waiting on Chrissy’s roommate to be the nice guy he is and drive me over to the towing company to pick up my car so maybe I can actually go home. I can only be in this town for about 24 to 48 hours at most so I’m ready. I have my trail mix and my bottle of water. I’m going to miss rush hour so that’s nice.

Well, that’s all I got for now. Please stay tuned as I hit up Belleville, IL next weekend and hopefully hang with my good friend, Charlie.

peace and love,
mike
